New MSI MPG 271QR and MAG 272QP QD-OLED AI gaming monitors revealed at Computex 2025
On top of snagging a slew of 2025 Red Dot Design awards, MSI also unveiled their latest MSI MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 and MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50 gaming monitors at Computex 2025. Here’s how both of their new monitors stack up on paper…
MSI MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 Specs
The MSI MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 gaming monitor uses a third-generation 27-inch Samsung Display QD-QLED panel with a 500Hz refresh rate and that offers up WQHD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) resolution as well as a 0.03ms GTG response time for smooth responsiveness. The display also has VESA ClearMR 21000 and DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification for super clarity and exquisite contrast.
The monitor includes an NPU-based IC combined with an always-on CMOS sensor that MSI refers to as an AI Care sensor that detects users to enable dynamic adjustments to monitor settings. In addition, the monitor features AI-driven OLED care that adjusts settings to eliminate screen burn-in issues by adapting the screen to user presence and behaviour.
If no user is detected, the MSI MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 is smart enough to power down the monitor to save on energy as well as wear and tear. This combination of powerful specifications and AI-powered and user-oriented features makes the MSI MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 monitor ideally suited for discerning gamers who need a competitive edge.
MSI MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50 specs
The MSI MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50 gaming monitor optimised for esports features a third generation 27-inch flat QD-OLED panel with WQHD (2,560 x,1440) pixels resolution and a similar 500Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms GTG response time to ensure superior viewing experiences.
It also sports 99% DCI-P3 colour gamut and also has VESA ClearMR 21000 and DisplayHDR True Black 500 for rich contrast and detail. Where it differs from the MPG 271QR QD-QLED is that it does not have the rich panoply of AI-based features and the AI Care sensor that its sibling has.
At present, there’s no official pricing or availability for both monitors for the Malaysia market but the moment we get any updates we’ll let you know. In the meantime, you can check out MSI Malaysia’s official page here.
