Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge – 5.8mm slim flagship that’s not coming to Malaysia
Teased about in the prior Galaxy S25 series unpacked live stream event, the new Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is now finally revealed in its full glory as the slimmest variant out of the Galaxy S25 series at 5.8mm, making it thinner than even a Galaxy S25 that is 7.2mm thin.

Seeing how thin the phone is, Samsung has lavished the Galaxy S25 Edge with their latest materials tech and the 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display up front is protected by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 while utilising titanium for the chassis and retaining a robust IP68 dust and water resistance rating.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is no pushover in the hardware department and it features the same Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset as its siblings paired with 12GB RAM and your choice of either 256GB or 512GB storage variants depending on how deep your pockets go. Where it differs slightly from the Galaxy S25 series is its battery capacity and cameras with the rear packing a dual camera setup that consists of a 200MP F/1.7 main camera that features 2X optical-quality zoom and has OIS as well as a 12MP F/2.2 ultra wide angle camera while the front has a single 12MP F/2.2 camera for selfies.
To keep the phone juiced, it has a slightly smaller 3,900mAh battery with 25W wired fast charging rated for 0-55% charge in just 30 minutes, wireless charging and wireless powershare. In terms of connectivity, the phone has 5G, fast WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, UWB and NFC. Like its other Galaxy S25 series siblings the S25 Edge runs Android 15 with One UI 7.0 as well as their Galaxy AI with a guaranteed 7 years of OS and security updates.
In terms of availability, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is only available in selected countries including Singapore. Unfortunately, it is not officially available in Malaysia for now and is slated for preorders on 13 May 2025 and general street availability from 23 May 2025 onwards.
In Singapore, the 256GB version retails for SGD1,628 (about RM5,388) while the 512GB version retails for SGD1,808 (about RM5,983) in your choice of Titanium Silver, Titanium IceBlue and Titanium JetBlack.
